Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Jampuijala
Brief History:
Instituions: Saint Mary's High School at Jampuijala has its origin in 1995 including boys and girls hostel. Began as an educational venture of Charkalok Para Catholic Motha, sepahijala in Agartala. It was managed and run by the HODA Welfare Society with the name Don Bosco Saint Mary's School. In 2019 the school was handed over to the Jesuit Society including hostel, and since then it remains a Jesuit School with the Vincentian sisters collaborating. The school is proud of its glorious journey of imparting qualitative education to the poor children of the area coming mostly from tribal communities. The school and hostels grew to become a High School in 2021 and follows the TBSE syllabus for the higher classes hostels also divided in this year 2023 so, boys and girls are moved to different buildings. Boys incharge by Jesuits fathers and girls incharge by SCV Sisters a know as Marillac home girls hostel. The hostel admits students from class one onwards. The SCV congregation was originally founded in France in the year 1734 but its Indian wing with its Generalate at Mananthavady was founded in 1976. In Tripura we are working with Jesuit society part of Xavier charitable trust in 2020 month of July .
