Brief History: In 2011, when Karbook became a Sub-division, the Government was interested to open an English Medium School.  With the help of Mr. Sukesh Debbarma, the local catechist and Mr. Singha Kumar Tripura, the then Karbook Tahsil, a Catholic from Gandacherra Parish, an application was given to the Government for the land allotment to start an English Medium School.  In 2014, the School was inaugurated.  In 2016, the S.R.A. Sisters began to look after the School and Hostel. In December 2020, Bishop Lumen erected a Parish at Karbook, under the patronage of Our Lady of Good Health, and Fr. K.M. Allwin was appointed the first Parochial Administrator.

Brief History:  In 2011, when Karbook became a Sub-Division, the Government allotted the present land to the mission to start a School.  In 2014, the School was inaugurated. In 2019, residential Hostel facilities for the Tribal Girls and Boys were started in order to encourage, pursuance of education and dissuade children dropping from school. The SRA Sisters joined the missionary work in 2016 and took the charge of the girls hostel and school.

This is the first venture of the Claretian Missionaries of Northeast India in Agartala Diocese, Tripura. Initially, Depacherra parish under Fr. Prasad Rao laid the foundation for the Catholic Faith in Suknachari in 2017 with the help of the SRA Sisters from Karbook. Later, the Claretian mission is pioneered by Fr. Janardhan Munnelli CMF who reached Suknachari in September 2020 looking for the possibilities of establishing a mission, after having spent an year of ministry in Holy Cross School, Karbook, under Depacherra parish as assistant priest. A small chapel was constructed and dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary on 19 December 2020 by Rev. Lumen Monteiro, Bishop of Agartala, marking the formal arrival of the Claretians in the diocese. At present there are 80 baptized Catholics, and they all predominantly belong to Tripura tribe. With a view to provide better educational facilities in the area, Fr Janardhan, with the support of the Northeast India Independent Delegation of the Claretian Missionaries, established Saint Claret School in May 2022 with 13 students and 2 teachers. The mission specific to this centre is evangelization of people and education.
